Another great time to offer a double is when you can see an advantage that your opponent might not be able to spot easily. If your opponent takes and you win, that puts you in a good lead in a match game.

Backgammon tip #6: What do you do when you're two points behind in a match game? The correct answer is not to use the doubling cube. The best option for you at this point is to win with a gammon.
